2006

This year's Captain Dave Rickell will again focus on Cancer charities; this time we are raising money for Prostrate and Bowel Research.

Watch out for the fund raising events throught the year and please support the Captain as you have done so well in the past.

2005

2005 Captain Paul Brumby wishes to extend his heartfelt thanks to every member who contributed to raising £5000 for Christies Hospital, a charity dear to a lot of members hearts.

Paul would especially like to thank Dave Ashworth, Andy Coles, Andy Ellis, Ged Ryan, Kevin Taylor and Ian McWilliams, who raised £1800 by playing 54 Holes in one day at Bury, Stand and Pike Fold Golf Clubs.

2003

The captain for 2003, Martin Jeff, was in no doubt where he wanted fund raising to go that year.

"I have been following the story of Robyn Brooks in the Rochdale Observer from the beginning in 2000, up to her situation in New York.

I cannot believe the bravery of this little girl and her family. Every time I see her face she is smiling despite the often painful treatment she has to endure. She is a credit to the town.

Pike Fold has a large nucleus of members from the Rochdale & Bury areas and everyone has contributed to this years charity.

On behalf of the members I wish Robyn the best for the future, keep on smiling"

Presenting the cheque

A cheque for £4600 is presented to Robyn's Uncle Brian Brooks, the charity organiser.
